Questions sellers ask

How much does Whatnot take?

8% commission on the item price for most categories (4% for coins), plus 2.9% + $0.30 payment processing on the item and shipping.

Do bigger sellers pay less?

Yes. Since September 2026 the commission drops in tiers based on your sales over the last four weeks, from $15,000 upward. NetPayout uses the Standard tier every new seller starts on.

What is the 0% above $1,500 rule?

In eligible categories you pay no commission on the part of a single order above $1,500. Whatnot calls it a limited-time promotion. Processing still applies to the full amount.

Is tax included?

Whatnot charges processing on the sales tax the buyer pays too, which NetPayout leaves out: about 2.9% of the tax, a few cents on most sales.
