Questions sellers ask
Is the final value fee charged on shipping and tax?
Yes. eBay charges it on the total the buyer pays, including shipping and sales tax. Enter your pre-tax price; the real fee will be slightly higher, about 13.6% of the tax (around $0.95 on a $100 sale with $7 tax).
What is the per-order fee?
$0.30 when the order total is $10 or less, $0.40 above. It is charged once per order, and not at all on sneakers sold at $150 or more.
Why does a $5,001 jewelry sale cost less in fees than $5,000?
eBay’s wording for jewelry, handbags and bullion applies the lower rate to the whole sale once it passes the threshold. NetPayout follows that wording; eBay gives no example confirming it.
Do I pay the ad fee on every sale?
Only when the sale is attributed to your Promoted Listings General ad (a click within 30 days). Leave the ad rate at 0% for organic sales.
Does this include eBay Store discounts or Top Rated Plus?
No. It uses the standard rates for sellers without a Basic or higher Store, and no Top Rated discount. International, currency conversion and below-standard fees are not included.
