Questions sellers ask

Does Depop charge a selling fee?

No. Sellers based in the UK pay no selling fee, only payment processing (2.9% + £0.30 per order) and the boosting fee on boosted sales.

When do I pay the boosting fee?

Only when a buyer viewed your boosted listing and bought it within 28 days. Organic sales pay no boosting fee, so leave it at 0% unless the sale came from a boost. Listings boosted before 23 March 2026 may still be on the old 8% rate.

Is the boosting fee charged on shipping?

Only when you arrange your own shipping. With a Depop shipping label, boosting is charged on the item price alone. Payment processing is charged on item plus shipping either way.

What do I enter for shipping with a Depop label?

Enter what the buyer paid for shipping. Depop pays it to you and then deducts the label, so NetPayout shows the label as a deduction and nets it out. Leave shipping cost for packaging only.

What about tax?

For a normal UK sale by a private seller no tax is added on top of your price, so there is nothing extra to pay.

Who pays the Marketplace fee?

The buyer. Depop adds it on top of your price, so it does not reduce your payout.

How are fees rounded?

Depop does not publish a rounding rule. NetPayout rounds each fee to the nearest cent or penny, so your receipt may differ by 1.
